In the past, i've enjoyed great customer support from this store.
I can not say so of my recent experience. I was trying to locate past purchased receipts of my Apple products to provide to my insurance for theft I encountered inside my apartment. I was gaslighted by the phone reps regarding the ability to access to receipts by communicating by phone directly with the stores phone rep.
This lead me to have to come into the store to request the receipts because the store failed to respond to the email request in a timely fashion.
Once at the store, I am told by one manager that they can not access their system due to a server outage. When I speak to another store manager, he is confused by the narrative of a store outage. The manager informs me that all companies need to keep receipts for 10years. This was is inaccurate. The period is 6 years according to CRA. How do you blunder that one after telling me you've been working at Apple for 14 years?
I am told I need to contact the specific store in which those products were bought. What if the store closed down or moved? COVID messed up most peoples memory, how is someone supposed to recall what store if they moved around in those 6 years?
